Little Prince and Differentiation....Tame Me

Tomlinson states that “teachers who are willing to establish ties with students discover new depths of truth each day...” What does this mean to ME?

"What does it mean -tame?" asked the Little Prince.

“It is an act too often neglected,” said the fox. It means to establish ties."

Teachers who establish ties or a bind with each of her students have the opportunity to witness the miracle of learning.

As in the metaphor in “The Little Prince” and differentiation. Once the teacher is willing to teach and be taught by his/her student, both can discover the world together. It is like a team pursuing a gold medal... everyone working (learning) together to conquer their quest. Both listing, supporting each other, giving and receiving, and enjoying their discoveries...And mourn when the day is over with the hope to embark in a new adventure the next day.

How wonderful that journey is! Teacher and students will create a new discovery adventure every day and, of course, they will look forward to the next enlighten quest…. A new day, a new adventure!

If we, teachers, take the time to get to know each of our students, invest the time to guide them, being persistent in given them new opportunities to discover the world, invite and offer them new opportunity to learn everyday; our students will be successful not matter what their uniqueness would be...To me, that is what Differentiation is all about.

Teaching is a vocation….A calling to discover the unknown.

What Do you See? Week 1

It is amazing to me how important it is to pay attention to all details of a picture to discover the real beauty within. Indeed, this metaphor describes the reality of our classrooms...A beautiful and colorful hillside that as future teachers, we must dedicate time everyday to discover the richness (potential) that each student brings to our classrooms.
As we contemplate the beauty of this earth, teacher should contemplate their students' potential, love them, and respect their differences.

Very Merry Digital Story and Christmas!!!

This past week we worked on the finishing touch of our Digital Story. I worked for about 2 days finishing the remix of 30 seconds of the Earth song from Michael Jackson. I cannot believe how much work that took.

I also learned how to use GarageBand...oh yeah!! That was awesome! I can remix, break, copy, paste parts of music, add some instruments transitions, change the volume, send it my ITunes, and even make my own CD.

I also worked in the transition of the pictures and slides timing and text. I really love this project. I can't wait till is done all the way. Next Monday We are going to finished with the voice recording and after that, we are going to post it in you tube.

I am very excited about the idea of making projects like this with my students. I think, parents will love it too!! For example, I am working on two lesson plan based on technology. I am planning to have my students to make a digital story for Christmas time to share with parents and family members out of states.

The inspiration comes from my own experience. reason, I am for Venezuela, my children haven't been there. It will be a really nice Christmas gift and surprise for our extended family to see what my children have done during this year.

I believe that with permission of their parents, my students will be so excited to do such project and share with their family and friends around the world.

I am also planning to make a Classroom's blog for the parents to see what the students are doing in class. I will like to have the students of the week to post a message to their parents and/or grandparents with a picture of them or even a video.

My dream is to have a classroom that can be defined as a Discovery Place, a place to Dream, Dare, and Do. Because, that is how I feel in this class.

For the Beauty of the Earth...Digital Story!!!!1

This week we have been working on getting all our report and getting ready for finals. One of the biggest projects that I have been working on is the Digital Story. I can't wait until our project is done is running. This week after we have seen each other we tried to get new ideas together and also make some changes with music choices and pictures too.

This time, we have finally unanimous to the music. We are g
oing to use part of the last song of Michael Jackson (The Earth Song). We are all excited about it because we will illustrating the Earth
attributes and we all love Michael Jackson.

It is amazing how a effective digital story could be. Looking through the examples of digital stories and imaging how ours could be, it gets my chills.!!!!

The main reason is because the beautiful pictures that we are using such as: The Oceans, Lakes, Valleys and Mountains.....The Beauty of the Earth.....How lucky we are, how irresponsible sometimes we are. There are some special picture that really are close to my heart... La Grand Sabana (Venezuela) and el Valle del Sol (Argentina).. I am in love with nature!!!

To me, putting together a story about the Earth, using one the best musician ever existed in the world (Michael Jackson), and how he described the conditions of our planets... it is an honor. I just hope that we can transmit the same emotions, or at least some
of them, as Michael Jackson did and will through the Earth Song.

The Greatest and The Worst Week of my Life

Being in Ms. Clayson's Class was the most fuffiling experience of my life. I have the opportunity to see how much children are self motivated to learn.
For the Greatest part....

Last week, we finished with our field
experience. I never thought that I could be so sad and heartbroken to be done with it. The students were sad to know that Tuesday was our last day with them. They made cards for us with, they gaveus high fives, and some were almost crying. I guess they really enjoy our time with them.

We really work hard to make these 3 last weeks to make the most of it. We did so
me brain boosters games, we made them do some maps and posters and displayed them outside of the classroom; both were part of our lesson plans. The posters ended up to being a competition. The students work really hard. Afterwards, they pick the top 3 winners and we got ribbons for 1st, second, and t
hird place. We also gave special awards to those who did not won but their work was amazing. We even learned a song about the Mountain Men with movements and everything

I really going to missed them....I understood how much different a teacher can make.

However, the load of homework and the time that we have to do it, I felt that we need more time between Thanksgiving break, the end of the field experience, and the first day of school so that we have time to do our homework. But again, I guess when we are official teachers, we won't have time to take a break in between holidays to stop and take a break before the holidays extravaganza!!

For the Worst.....

Even though I was sad to finish with my filed experience and recognized that they really loved to have US there, that was not the worst part of this week.... My Father died on Thanksgiving day... AND... I feel that everything we (my team teacher and Me) did will be long forgotten after Thanksgiving break.

I don't know what is going to happens after our absence. I just hope the teacher keep working hard with her students. I hope she remember all the questions and hints of what a great teacher should be doing. "Reading aloud to the students while they are doing whatever they want and teacher not even asking questions to the students about what she is reading..." is NOT an example of what a teacher should DO. This is just ONE example of what is going on there.

The cooperative teacher was very helpful and let us to do what we needed to do at any time. But I was very surprise to know that she really didn't do anything about the students in her classroom that struggles with the language or any learning disability, or even language barrier.
After I showed to the teacher my Psychology Assignment, She noticed what we (Elementary Ed. Students) were looking to documents through our observation. She changed her style of teaching. She started to sit down with ELL students and did one-one scaffolding, using different teaching approaches. No to mention the many times I did with one of the student that have been neglected. The teacher told us to ignored her (the student) because the student had a emotional breakdown... The teacher didn't know why the student have been crying all alone since the beginning of school.

My heart is full of mixed feeling because I was sad to see this part of my first semester to be over. I really love those children. I just hope that this experience will never be erase of my mind because It has taught me how important it is to be a good teacher. Someone who really care about ALL her/his students. I created a Journal learning calendar in which the student, that I was working with, records the times that she was pay attention, asking questions, complete homework by herself or with assistance, and/or make a comment. Once
she reaches 10 stamps she gets a prize. (I provided enough for a moth). The last day she was doing so great... she was another kid.

Now, the bar have been raised for me. Next semester will be another great experience, I need to make meani
ngful for the students that I will be teaching. I need to be a good example always and never lower the quality of teaching....ever! I know that the only way that can happens is by keeping myself update with the latest courses and teachers training.

My goal is to get to know my students so well that I can recognize ANY student's special need or attention. I am so grateful for this experience that have helped me to see what a REal Teacher is about.

Twilight..... of my Field Experience!

One of the definition of twilight is: A condition of decline following successes. This definition describe my feelings about this field experience. I never thought that I would enjoy this time so much. This past week have been working on my relationship with students, classroom management, identifying possible technology application, and psychology applications to understand my role as a teacher.

Even though, all this activities are focus on the assignments that I have to do for my fin
al, I really have the opportunity to get to know Ms. Clayson's class. It have been an amazing experience, I have experienced the joy of being a tutor, a guide, an mother like, a "friend", a "cool teacher", a "psychologist", and more . I feels like the twilight of my field experience is nigh.

I felt that there is more to do in that classroom. I wish or cooperative teacher keep waking up and make her classroom a more interactive and excited place to be. I know that is a hard job to do. There so much to do.
But teacher uses their time more efficient, students will enjoy to be there and be inspire to learn. I have been helping an student that need extra help and attention. I have put in practice what I have learned in psychology, for example, making accommodations and teaching techniques to help her. She have been neglected since kindergarten. She does not have been in resources not eve
n she does not have an IEP. The teacher still working to putting the referral for that student.

In the meantime, I have been looking information and learning more about her conditions and ways to help her through internet. I cannot explain how grateful I am for technology and the WWW. Whatever, Wherever, Whenever I need help or questions about learning processes or lesson plans, translate material in Spanish, or just to look a video clip of the new TWILIGHT Saga movie, I am a click away from my computer or my phone. And yes! I have done it between my way to make copies in the media room or lunch time.

I really have enjoy this time as student-teacher. I know that the end is coming very soon. And I wish that we
(my team teacher and I ) have done a good job there. Not only teaching but reaching out to those students that need hel
p,or learning how to read or do some math problem but making them feel important, smart, and love.

My goal as a teacher is to remember this type of experience once I am formally teaching in my own classroom. Remember these first students, their faces, their needs, and their special and unique needs. Because that will help me to be a better teacher. Someone who cares and love their students.

I feel somewhat sad that I am almost done.....I accomplished many good things in there. The students that we have been working with, she have been smiling (more) than crying (like it was in the beginning of my days there). This week we have been talking to the cooperative teacher to make new accommodations such as: seating strategies, a learning journal in which the student will receive stickers everyday and prices at the end of the week. I make that journal and suggested it!!!!!!!!!! Right there in the classroom on my computer!!!!!!!

I am so grateful for this experience and for the time that I have to work with these wonderful set of students!!! That is why I feel that my Twilight of my field experience is near.....!
And the best movie ever....too!!!!!

A Week of Teaching and Achievements

This past week had been an amazing experience! My team teacher

(Celeste Loveland) and I taught the whole week (except for Thursday) until last Friday and we were done with our observation by Monday. However, the most amazing and best News of all is that we have and opportunity to make some positive changes and effects in some students in our classroom.

I am in deed having so much fun!!! I never thought that, besides the longer hours of planning, teaching could bring me such joy. I know that teaching is the most rewarding profession in the world, but experiencing and witnessing the changes in the students faces when they learned something new or make a project tat they really enjoy it is PRICELESS! I have received thank you cards from our students!!!!

In one of the lessons, we required that students must work with a partner a nd make a poster about one of the mountain men or government explorer or Dominguez-Escalante and mentioning why they consider those personages to be their heroes and write 3 facts about them.

We never thought that they would

be so excited about that. Even many students asked to do their post instead of their "Fast Finishers" which it is the free time for them to play games or play in the computer. They had been working for 2 days till Friday.

Tomorrow Monday, we will post them on the hall wall outside of the classroom and pick some winners for the best representation of their hero. I would say that our lesson plans were good and fun too! Any student with learning disability or ELL student can express themselves by Arts. We thought we should give it a try. Here some IDEAS

In addition to our teaching time, we have been assisting students during other subjects (Language Arts and Mathematics). I personally have been working with a student who does not read either English or Spanish. This student is really having a hard time trying to understand her homework by herself without any help from another student or even teacher.

It is hard to see this student coming to school crying all the time, crying through homework while others are playing until I started to help. I read with these students, I explain assignments, and even have request a change of sitting for this student. But not anymore.

Now this student is coming to class smiling, happier, and willing to participate. This student have finished homework without help or limited help and had time to play with others. My team teacher and myself have set a goal to help this student as much as we can. We also work with other students too and do the same, when is necessary.

Throughout this wonderful experience I personally realize how important it is not to neglect students assume that all students are capable to learn the same way. I have use and tried to use all the technique that I have learned in Educational Psychology to understand all the students in this classroom.

I also have use technology to find out the information that I can use to help this ELL student. I know that this student is smart; the only thing missing is a personal (teacher-student) teaching time.

I am so thankful for technology. I can see now important it is to keep us, teachers, trained with the latest technology available and workshops techniques to educate our student’s o and ourselves succeed. I know that because, when I taught my first lesson I made and used a Power Point and ALL ELL students were participating in class by making more connections between pictures and words; and answering correctly the questions that we asked them to answer in their journals. Also technology helped me to know how to approach this student's situation. I read and Google for ideas how to help this student and I found some great ones!!!

This is ONLY the beginning of a great journey. I can see the importance and the power of influence that we, the teachers have. I just hop that the flaming energy for teaching never goes away. I wish I can teach other teachers understand how important it is to do our best to reach out to all of our students, to use technology for good teaching experience not for free time playing.

I understand that some school are limited in technology equipment but, teachers should use what they have and different and various ways. Just use them to make your teaching a great, and fun experience.!!!

It makes me nerves and sad to think about the end of our field experience. I just hope that these students will have more positive and fun experience in their classroom. For now, my goal is to make the best of my time there and help as much as I can. And Remembering always that ...

The aim of education, should be rather to teach us how to think, rather than what to think."

My first Week as a Student Teaching

This week has been one of the most exciting weeks since I started the Program. I knew that once I was in a classroom with elementary students, all the material that we have learned until now would make sense. I have the opportunity to be in a 4th grade classroom with 20 children, a very helpful cooperative teacher, and a great student-teacher partner.

Out of the 20 students, 6 are Spanish speaking and one Cambodian speaking student. It is very interesting to me how important it is to be aware of every student in your classroom. There a couple that they don’t understand very well English and one that really do not know read English or write in Spanish. She is always lost and cried a lot.

One thing that I learn from Dr. Waite is that to approach and educate every student in

your classroom, children with learning disabilities even children ELL students is to use Good Teaching Techniques. These techniques are based on using a lot mnemonics, props, pictures, and involve the students in the learning process. My teacher companion and I notice that these techniques are missing in this classroom. So we decided to do our best to apply lots of pictures, props, mnemonics, and one-one assistance to these students who are struggling in our classroom.

I taught last Friday for the first time. I prepared a Power Point about the Fathers Dominguez and Escalante (European Explorers) with lots and lots pictures in colorful sides. We also put together a foldable journal in bright color paper with questions to assess their knowledge. It was very fun to put this lesson plan together and using technology.

The energy and enthusiasm for a new adventure in the classroom was incredible. The students very very excited about “The movie” (Power Point). You could hear the “Wow, ha, cool.” Then, the reaction for each student towards us was amazing. They made comments like “That was cool, or That was fun.” I asked the ELL students if they like it and what did they learned today? Their smiles and sweet answers made my day. They did learn something new today.

I can see how important it is to use technology in our classroom. Students learning process can and should be exciting, adventurous, enlightening, and fun. Monotonous is just plain boring and children needs interaction with their peers, working together to come up with a solution to a question.

My goal is as teacher is to enlighten the lives of my students, help them to know the world outside the classroom through Good Teaching Techniques and using Technology as much possible in the classroom. This is it the education system of the 24th century.

My beliefs....!

I believe that technology is an incredible tool and lifestyle that is present in our lives every way we go. It is the WWW of our lives. It is the “Whatever, Whenever, Wherever” Of this decade or even this century. An example of this is this blog entry. Who would of thought 20 or 30 years ago that we would be assess by using blogger and interpretations of what we learned on websites and videos about technology and education.

As a future teacher I must strive to be well trained to teach with and through technology. My students will be delighted and enlighten with the latest information and knowledge that will make them the cyber

generation of the future; and teaching them to be safe working with internet. My motto is Like Buzz Light-years said: “To infinity and beyond” with education and technology.

My Strength & My Weaknesses

I do have a general knowledge about computer software and a great love for technology. I understand some software and hardware structure and how it could be use in a classroom as educational media. I have designed some websites and educational tools to enhance my students learning experiences with interactive activities and assessments. I also understand the impact that technology has in our society and the legal and human issues that come with it. However, Technology is always updating by the minute. Whatever you have learned one month, it might not be good or valid the next month.

I have little knowledge in tools and applications for diverse learners, Excel, video conferences, and electronic informational. Also, I do not know much about resources for adaptive assistive devices for students with special needs. I am not really familiar wit technology systems (hardware) and equipment operator, and how to use and teach my students internet safety, instructional tool uses, and legal issues. And I know that if want my students to learn the latest technology tool and be able to be successful on the cyber world, I must get trained continually.

My main goal is to get trained technology and learned as I can before I start teaching. I have found 2 workshops from UEN that can help me with my weakness and reinforce

my present knowledge about technology. Interactive Video Conferencing- Delivery Systems Training: Technical and site facilitation training for IVC facilitators. Instruction on equipment operation, basic troubleshooting, and site management delivered through face-to-face training, video conferences, and web-based materials. And ITC Workshops: Integrating Technology and Curriculum Workshop - 3 day survey course designed to introduce K-12 educators to technology tools and their instructional uses. These type of training will help me to get help that I need and keep me updated in technology throughout my career.

WebQuest....A Master Piece!!!!

This passed week I had the opportunity to work on the final details for our Webquest. I am so excited to see and run the final product. It is amazing to see the final stage of the Web quest working and coming to a master piece.

I have never imaging that I could be part of this amazing project, now I want to makeanother for the unit that I am teaching on Field experience. Not to mention what we have learned this week...Digital Story!!!!!

I can believe that we actually can make our own movie about a subject matter that we want to bring to life and make the students experience and learn in a different way than just reading a book or googling a topic. I can't wait until we start working on this project.

However, this past week has been an amazing roller coaster and it will be worst for the next 2 week before we are in our way to student teaching field experience. And I am not too excited about that. I know that is going to be fun but it is very intimidated to be in a classroom already with our little experience. Somehow I feel that it will be okay.

Everything, every class content is coming together like a puzzle. Every key assignment is building up to what the real deal about becoming a teacher is. This is a very important step of the
beginning of our journey.

Last week, I also learned on Social Studies that we just have to stay calm and that we have been trained professional. On Foundation of American Education, we learn that they are so many little details that can get us in big trouble if we are not careful. Things such: copyrights, teacher-student relationship, classroom management, some other topics.

In Creative Arts we were working on how visual arts can help the students to learn in a meaningful way and retained the information that they learned. And psychology, we also talk
about how meaningful teaching, including Multiple Intelligence can enhance our student's learning process, not to mention how effective that type of teaching will help our students with special needs. Specially with visual arts and technology tools such as Web quest, Digital Story, and pod/vid casts. Teaching is really doing a 360 degree rotation.

The Video for this week that saw was "A Vision of Students Today." This video is eye opening because it shows how important it is that we as country, political leaders, teachers, parents, and students may come to a resolution to step up and

help our students to learn in a 24 century style like China....By year 2016 they will be the #1 country to speak English and right now they have more honor students than people in the US. We need to do something.

As a mother and future teacher, I feel the great responsibility to step up and do my part by making sure that my own children and future students receives the latest and best technological tools and the most creative and engaging type of education. China and other countries are doing it why not us and now.

I wish every parent, every political leader, and every teacher can see how important it is to get out the cycle of the old school style of teaching.

ENJOY...!!!!!

Did You Know ?

I didn't know that we as future teachers must embrace technology in our classroom as a primary source of information for the sake of our students and ourselves. Last week we have been working on finishing our WebQuest, getting ready to do our presentations, our Teacher works example, and our Curriculum Backward Design. The most interesting thing of all is that in ALL of them we have to use the Web Wide World in order to fulfill
our requirements.

Last Tuesday, one of our Counselors brought to our attention the Key Assignments List. To my surprise was that she emphasised that we must have it in universal digital format and saved in more that 5 places so that we wont loose our Key Assignments because we will need all of them for our final portfolio.....TECHNOLOGY.

Then, Our Social Studies and Curriculum Design also made emphasis on the use of technology with each lesson plan, if n
ot, we have to give a detailed reason why we are not using it. Then, when i went to visit my coop
erative teacher, she said: "Lets keep contact thru email..." and we my classmate partner and myself got out our Ipods to write her email. Not to mention how I have survive with my class assignments because of google docs.

We are living in a technology High Speed Internet/High Tech WORLD. As future teachers we must keep ourselves updated with the latest technology t
o educated our future generation.

Four years ago, teachers did not have SmartBoard in
their classrooms, at least in my children schools,
now that is the latest thing in that school. Two years ago, teachers did not have extra computers in the classroo
ms for the students to use as play time after assignments are done. Now, my second grader son have in his classroom 2 computers to use and play a monster math computer game once he and his classmates are done with their assignments. I now that because my fourth grader (now) had the same teacher as his brother have right now.

Technology is like a train at full speed without brakes.....To infinity and beyond!!!!

Just to make my point, I happened to find a video in TeacherTube that really reinforce what I have been thinking and experiencing this past week. The name of the Vide
o is "Did you know...." This video talks about how technology will be growing up to the point that a person right know working
on a 4 year degree, the material from the first year will be old and wasted by the third of his/her degree. It also talks about how Engla
nd is one the most well educated with the latest information, and the most well organize country in the world; and how much money other countries spend in education and also in technology.

To me, this information is an eye opening learning experience and change of mind setting. Many people think that once you have survive the first year of teaching, you do not have to worry about learning anything new because you will be teaching the same curriculum over and over again thru the years. But that is no true. If I want to be a good teacher who wants to make a difference in our students and our future generation, I must keep myself well train by learning what is new out there to teach and learn.

I must teach my students all the tools available for them to succeed and the most important of all... I must teach my students to keep seeking for new ways to discover the world by learning as much as they can everyday because the knowledge that they get in school is just the basics skills for that moment and the next year or even day things can change and they need to keep learning to keep up with the world...I think that is the best concept (Pedagogy) that I can teach my students.

For that reason I want to share this video with all of you...Click on the link below to see what am I talking about.

WebQuest..Here I come!!!!!!

This week is been way different than weeks before. Mid-term assignments (some) were due, long nights without much sleep, maybe 3 hours of sleep but I survived the train-wreck. I had two classes in which a 5-pages and 7-pages papers were due, lesson plans, class presentations, and WebQuest assignments plus vidcast/podcast due. Yes, It was pretty busy and overwhelm week.

To my amazement things with my WebQuest group did a 360 turn around change. I am so happy with that, because I can see and feel that I am doing and learning about this assignment. WebQuest assignment is fun and very interesting assignment so far. I really like the idea to create something that others can use to enhance and/or support their teachings or learning process. While working on the teacher's page, my mind was running like crazy thinking of the well-designed paragraphs that we need to construct in order to "sell" meaning convince other teachers that our WebQuest is well designed and well-structured. It will be great if we can be that successful!!

Imaging how much fun, interactive, educational, and time saving a WebQuest could be. Students right now in this era, are very technological oriented. They want to be part of the "Wide World Web" Students at any age are exposed to computers and all source of technologies. Teachers must use those type of technology to caught student's curiosity.

Working in this assignment have taught me to be more creative with technology. Every time I am designing lesson plans, I am also thinking how can I integrate Either or creative arts
and technology. I use google to find ideas or activities that I can use to make my lesson plans more effective, fun, and possibly satisfy my students needs. I use technology to make my lesson plans why not make my students to use technolo
gy to do their homework assignments or projects.

One examples of that are YouTube.com and TeacherTube.com. I used TeacherTube and TeacherTube to find videos to create a lesson plan in Social Studies (I am Bill). I also used YouTube to find folks music to create a lesson plan about Water cycle with the song (She'll be comin around the Mountain).

Technology applications are limitless, you CAN and MUST use websites to create WebQuest to create your lesson plan and make your students play "video games" interactive websites games that are educational and that they will help your students get ready for a test without them knowing.

The video for this week is a fun, colorful, and interesting video that can make you
sing and even dance. The Noun Video, has a really contagious rithmn and teaches you about noun; it even gives you examples. This video is great for 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th grade. I will use that video to introduce Nouns in language art unit. I really like it because you can memorize the concept and example of nouns with that song and dance to it.

Because I like it a lot I want to share it in my blog. For those who do not know what am I talking about, click in Noun Video to see it, listen to it, and dance to the tune.....Enjoy!!!

My Quest to WebQuest!!!

This past week was a challenging quest. I have try to work and get ahead with some my classes and trying to caught up with others. However, things don't work REALLY as you wanted to, in most cases!!!!
In my WebQuest project, I have been working on rubrics and websites that we can use as links to our PowerPoint, possible layouts, and so on. Yet my teammates don't consider my ideas most of the time but.......Oh well, I will be working my ways up to I'll annoying them and maybe they will listen......Enough with that let's get back to business.

I am so amazing with WebQuest. Every week I discovery new things that we as teacher can use or even do by ourselves with technology and to make a Webquest. This past week I have been planing to make an
Webquest on my own and seeking for new fun ideas to incorporate in the Wequest that our
team is working with. I have found out that you can even I add such sound effect and link to cool websites and between itself link to different pages. and such much more.

I really like that we, novice or future teachers have the opportunity not only use USOE, CATUS, and/or UEN as guidance and support to teaching, but to use technology to find materials, ideas, information, even lesson plans, and Webquest that other experience teachers had put together before. I must say that putting a Webquest is a long journey and it involve a lot of thinking and planning but it is fun once it is done.

If we teacher use technology to enrich our students learning experience, we are preparing the High Tech
professional of the future. I just can't imaging, we and if the time comes when we a laptop for each student instead of only crayon and paper
to do their homework assignments. If that could be the case, our students would be very creative and well prepare for the future because that is what we will become HIGH TECH WORLD, were technology will be the way to do anything. Yes, it is necessary that we humans control them, make them, and update them. Therefore, teachers must do their work, meaning teaching with the best and later material out there and the best technology content available today...Starting NOW.

The world as it is now, it is a High Tech world. Children

from second grade now what is Gmail, a blog, Facebook, an email, and more. My second grade son asked me to help him to get an Gmail account because one of his best friend move to Spanish fork and he wants to write to him often. At that age, I didn't even knew what was a computer. Just imaging what a first grader will ask in 10 or 20 years from now.

I know that using WebQuest will satisfies their need or thirst for feeling smart (psychological need), their need of belonging (self-steam), their need for fun and happiness. And will add, t
heir need or right to know what is expect from them in the future and be able to be ready for it.

Believe in Me? by Daton Sherman. I really enjoy that video because it reminds me what important it is that believe in our students, school system, colleagues, and specially in ourselves. We need to understand that our future students might only have US as a love and caring image, they might see us or expect us to believe on them not matter what. They see us, evaluate us, check our honesty, ethics, charisma, love, dedication, and even how we act or respond not only toward themselves but other classmates.

The best part or my favorite part is that he is or look like elementary student, and he was talking like a 50-year old experience professional speaker. I really loved it, Dalton reminded me how important it is to believe in our students, believe that they can rich their higher potential no matter their skin color, their disabilities, or even how they behave. This video should be show at a graduation ceremony so that all of us NEW TEACHER. This video will carved an important message in our brain of what our future students will expect from us.
