In the last couple weeks, I have had the opportunity to work with two different groups a wonderful ladies (classmates) to put our knowledge of PowerPoint in practice. We made two different PowerPoint present
ations.
The first one, with my first group we used our pictures from our Picasa library of things to put together a lesson plan about living & non-living thigs; and linked them into each other. It was fun and very interesting because it seems extremely difficult; kind of "High Tech" but it is not. Now, I can look smart like a very experience teacher.
The second project was a little different, we did it from the 50 quick and easy power point activities. We picked two activities: Solar similarities and What number Am I?
We, as a group (Rebecca, Raelynn, Katelyn, and myself), divide the activities and subgroups and work in mini groups fo two and each activity. Katelyn and myself worked on solar similarities and the other grils work on What number am I?. Then, we got together and agreed to put both PowerPoint together and use some of the tricks that we learned with PowerPoint, such as animation, sound, different backgrounds for each activity.

The most important think about these two project is that we are now in our path to excellence. We were told by our professor to think as teacher from now in on. Our minds change like someone flip the switch in our heads. At least, that is how I felt it.
This class for sure is the beginning of our path to be an excellent teacher. I just hope that everyone who is preparing themselves to become a teacher will take and put in practice all these things that we are learning here right now in this course.
