Take this Opportunity to Shape Lives

Teaching is complex; there is so much to do and not enough time.

From curriculum content to students’ needs, the list goes on. But is a wonderful lifetime opportunity to shape lives and to create life experiences through meeting each student’s needs.

One thing that we have to realize is that we, teachers do not posses supper power... I wish we would. Tomlinson’s words made me reflect on the truth of nearly ALL teachers…” We will never do all each child needs.” But we should never give up. Like Esme Codell said: We must “try and try again…Even if we fail, we must try and try again”

We do not have the time to feel guilt about what we missed that day, but we must differentiate and be aware/understand students’ needs. As a result, “students will come to play us.” In other words, students will trust and connect with their teacher and be able to take risk in their learning quest.

The key is to remember to do your best everyday. To exhaust all our means and resources to make our students learning experience the best, and therefore, shape their lives!!!

Keep trying and they will come to us, then learning will take place.
